MISSION OF LSD
To consistently provide up-to-date and relevant capacity building, Research and Consultancy services for performance improvement in the areas of legislative development and administration.
The objectives of LSD are:
Design training programmes, seminars, workshops and conferences for the members of legislative staff of both National and State Assemblies.
Prepare staff of the National/State Assemblies and Others with allied functions to perform the basic duties and responsibilities in legal and legislative drafting for the development of the nation.
Carry out studies and research into the problems of Legislative Administration in Nigeria, and by extension in the sub-sahara countries in Africa; and
Develop capacities for planning and organising various committees in both National and State Assemblies.
